Spartans Finish 3rd in Florida High School Tournament

In one of the most amazing games of Basketball seen in the Florida Tournament, Stockport Spartans beat all the odds and a hostile crowd to beat Holy Trinity High School in the quarter finals 36-30.
In a close game the Spartans showed the locals that English Basketball is good enough to take on the best in the USA. It was a staggering performance by the whole team who showed all of the key words you need to be a Spartan, Pride, Intensity, Determination and Standards. This was the biggest shock of the competition and the crowd and other teams were left in complete shock by this result as the Spartans celebrated on court like they had won the NBA Play Offs!!
Matty Sherriff was elected to the Tournament All Star team along with George Meaden.
